Troubleshooting Practice Labs

The following labs are provided to help you to consolidate and to practice the knowledge and skills that you have gained in this chapter.

Three labs are provided, and all are based on the network topology shown in Figure 2-45.

In each lab, you must restore end-to-end IP connectivity from TATEBAYASHI@mjlnet.com to PERRIS_HGW1. This should be tested by pinging PERRIS_HGW1's loopback interface (10.20.10.1) from TATEBAYASHI@mjlnet.com.

Base configurations for the labs can be found on the Cisco Press Web site (www.ciscopress.com/1587051044). Detailed instructions for loading these base configurations onto your lab routers, as well as solutions can be found in Appendix B.

Troubleshooting Lab 1

1:

In this scenario, user TATEBAYASHI@mjlnet.com reports that he can connect to LODI_NAS1 but that the connection is dropped almost immediately.
